I loved this book alot! Still got a smile on my face. He is the most careing guy, and she basically falls for him instantly. Briar was more adult than teen in her thinking, and somehow I found her to be believable since she was an only child and seemed to have raised herself.
What I like about Briar is that, just like Chase, she has a lot of hcasing but doesn’t really care about it. Editorial Reviews About the Author J. I’ve met a few cowboys and Chase fit the description. I think I was expecting a little bit of a fluffy story, but there was a bit more depth to it than I initially thought. Her parents and all her so-called friends from school are social-climbing materialists with an inability to care about or be loyal to anyone. Lord I love me some cowboys and country boys. Overall this was a solid 4 star story and even though it was young adult it reminded me of reading a western romance.

Well more like swoon over him. The Big Four hooks of short, contemporary, adult romance are cowboys, cops, brides and babies, which are rarely found in a teen novel. This was a cute, short and easy book to read. I won’t spoil it, but I felt like the progression of their relationship was realistic, so it was more meaningful to me.
