I’ve enjoyed the ones wor,d I’ve read so far – it’s good to play catch-up with these because they weren’t published when I was a kid. But Deary never lets you map the sins of any lunatic individual onto his or her countrymen simply because they share a nationality–or even because they share a dogma.
We were the baddies this time. Suffice to say he’s kind of a jerk.

Less funny than the previous two I have read in the series but the subject matter is closer to home and more recent too. These items are shipped from and sold by different sellers.
I keep hammering into my own American children who have grown up in the UK that yes, there WERE concentration camps on American soil in which normal American civilians were imprisoned based on their Japanese heritage. Schools earn Scholastic Rewards when parents aar staff order from us. Don’t let that put you off though. A chunkier format with less text and more space for pictures makes it the perfect place to get your first taste of laughter, blood and gore!
They’re smart and funny with great illustrations, and I would never, ever have a problem recommending them to anyone, with two caveats.
