With how rusty my Portuguese is, I’m not optimistic of the results. Saramego references events, satamago, and historical by name and with little context for the uninformed. I almost felt like we were comparing notes! Visiting monuments of superior cultural interest, in the context of the Portuguese people churches, museums, monasteriesmixed with some words with their personal stamp, I should not consider this work the most meritorious of Saramago.
